Tpractice Report On The Consecutive Interpreting For "Green Mine" China-ASEAN Mining Personnel Exchange And Training Course In 2017

This paper is a practice report on consecutive interpretation,including Chinese to English interpretation and English to Chinese interpretation.In August 2017,the author undertook the task of interpreting for the China-ASEAN Mining Personnel Exchange and Training Course in 2017 with the theme of "Green Mine".The interpreting task includes lecture and ceremony consecutive interpreting,field visit and laboratory visit escort interpreting and so on.This report is a summary of the above tasks and can be mainly divided into five parts:introduction,pre-interpreting preparation,case analysis and interpreting strategies and interpretation quality assessment.Chapter One Introduction describes the task background and the author's mission.Chapter Two Pre-interpretation Preparation mainly introduces the long-term and short-term preparation for this task.Chapter Three Case Analysis and Responding Tactics is a major discussion on the handling of long sentences with professional terms,understanding different English varieties,and disfluencies analysis.Chapter four is the Interpretation Quality Assessment in which the author introduces the evaluation of the quality of the interpretation by the clients and the author herself.And then Chapter is the conclusion.This report aims to analyze and summarize the author's interpreting practice and at the same time,the author hopes that this practice can provide some references for other interpreters who are engaged in interpretation tasks of the same type.
