Depression,as an important factor affecting the healthy development of college students, we must pay close attention to it. So the study of Inner Mongolia university students family environment, self esteem and depression were studied in a more comprehensive understanding of the factors the influence of depression of college students in Inner Mongolia, in the hope that through the joint efforts of parents and schools, have a definite object in view of the common troubleshooting the depression of college students.In this study,443 students from Inner Mongolia, using three Surveying among the Family Environment Scale, epidemiological survey center with Depression Scale and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, using SPSS statistical software for statistical analysis and to study the home environment self-esteem on depressive mood. The results show:First, the university students' home environment dimension of knowledge there are significant differences in gender, students, the professional, ethnic and parents' education level; and cohesion there are significant differences in gender, emotional expression and entertainment in parental education the degree of difference significant; independence dimension professionally significant difference; moral religious outlook significant differences in gender, ethnic differences above, the organization in gender, profession and nationality significant difference; controlling significant differences professionally.Second,Inner Mongolia esteem is on the middle level. And self-esteem were no significant differences in various demographic variables.Thirdly, there is depression in Inner Mongolia,443 college students accounted for a total of 3.20%. And negative emotions there is a significant difference in the professional, physical symptoms have significant gender differences in learning, interpersonal relationships significant differences in the education level of parents.Fourth, the Inner Mongolia University Students Family Environment Scale Contradictions dimension with various dimensions and depression scores were significant positive correlation, and intimacy, entertainment and organization, each of the three dimensions of emotional expression and Depression dimensions and total score were significantly negative correlation; and the various dimensions of depression and self-esteem scores were significantly negative correlation; self-esteem out of the family environment cohesion, success, knowledge, entertainment and organization there was a significant positive correlation dimension, and self-esteem and conflict dimension there was a significant negative correlation with the controlled dimensions no significant correlation.Fifth, the home environment is not exactly a directly impact on depression, self-esteem can be indirectly by the action, Esteem as Mediator rather than adjusting variable.The final conclusions of this study are:the family environment can directly predict depression, and depression can be predicted by self-esteem. Self-esteem plays partly in the role of intermediary between the family environment and depression.
