Research purposes:starting from the basic theory of sports science and psychology research,in order to precisely just dance exercise as the means of intervention,with common of the non-professional sports university students as experimental object,study used 2(test before and after)x 2(experimental group)and control group in the mix design of experiment,discusses on the just dance exercise effects on the normal college students' self-esteem and depression,and if there is a correlation between self-esteem and depression.This research will expand the research on depression and self-esteem of college students,further enrich the theory of sports dance option teaching and college students' physical and mental health,and provide theoretical reference for the teaching and training of sports danceMethods:149 non-physical education undergraduates from Yangzhou university were selected,including 74 in the control group and 75 in the experimental group.The control group received norrmal academic learning without any systematic physical exercise,while the experimental group received 12-week cha cha cha dance exercise intervention.Before and after the experiment was measured.1 week before the experiment and 12 weeks after the experiment,the author organized and distributed the Rosenber self-esteem Scale(SES)in Chinese version and the w.k.zung self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)to test the changes of self-esteem and Depression in the experimental group and control group respectively.The research methods include literature,psychological measurement,experiment and mathematical statistics.Using Excel and SPSS20.0 data processing software,statistical description,independent sample T test,paired sample T test,repeated measurement analysis of variance,correlation analysis and linear regression methods were used for data processing.Results:The depression and self-esteem levels of the experimental group and the control group were homogeneous before the experiment.Before and after the experiment,there were significant differences in the psychological-affective symptoms(P=0.009<0.01),physical disorders(P=0.004<0.01),psychological disorders of depression(P=0.005<0.01),and the total score of depression(P=0.000<0.01)in the experimental group.There were significant differences between self-affirmation(P=0.000<0.01)and total self-esteem(P=0.001<0.01),while there were no significant differences between self-negation(P=0.125>0.05).There was no significant difference in depression mood,each factor,self-esteem and each dimension in the control group before and after the experiment(P>0.05).There were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in the scores of psycho-emotional symptoms,somatic disorders,psychomotor disorders,depression.self-affirmation and self-esteem.The psychological disorder and self-denial of depression in the experimental group and the control group were not significantly different after the experiment,but decreasedResearch conclusions(1)before and after the experiment,the depression mood of the experimental group and the control group changed to different degrees,and there was a significant difference in the experimental group.Among them,the depression mood and each factor in the experimental group showed an overall downward trend,while the depression mood and each factor in the control group showed an overall upward trend,that is,the exercise of cha-cha cha dance could improve the depression mood of college students(2)the self-esteem levels of the experimental group and the control group changed to different degrees before and after the experiment,and the experimental group showed significant differences.Among them,the self-esteem level of the experimental group was on the rise,while that of the control group was on the decline(3)there was a significant correlation between self-esteem and depression,and self-esteem had a significant positive effect on improving depression(4)the exercise of cha-cha cha dance is beneficial to improve the depressed mood and self-esteem of college students,and it can also improve the depressed mood by improving the self-esteem of college students,that is,self-esteem plays a part of mediating role in the exercise of cha-cha cha dance to improve the depressed mood of college students.
