A Report On The Translation Of The Girl On The Train(Part 1)

This translation report derives from Part 1 of the novel The Girl on the Train, by Paula Hawkins. This novel tells an unemployed, divorced and bibulous girl named Rechel, who is in search of a mysterious disappearance of the suspect, and then she carries on a series of investigations. Thus it uncovers the fact of British society and human nature. The purpose of this translation is to let Chinese readers get a better understanding of western culture, western literature and the psychological activities of descriptive ploy. Meanwhile, the book reveals profound social problems and philosophical summaries. To some extent we can say it causes people pay to attention to life and also enhance people's literary attainments.This translation report consists of four parts. Therefore, a qualified translator should not only have solid bilingual foundations but also possesses corresponding qualities. Thus deepen the understanding of cultural differences. Only in this way can a translator be qualified in transforming between two languages.
