With the continuous deepening of China's opening up, international academic communication has become increasingly frequent. More and more people decide to get further study abroad, colleges and universities in UK and USA become the first choice of most people. How to prepare materials to successfully apply for studying abroad and get offers from top universities abroad is becoming their greatest concern.And there are a large part of application materials needed translating. So how to translate these materials well has also become issues of concern. More attention has also been paid to the translation work. The author participated in a translation internship at Chengdu Oxbirdge Edu for nearly 1 year and was commissioned the translation work of the Golden Panda Project. Based on her practical experience, in this thesis, the author takes the Golden Panda Project as an example, studies the characteristics of the application documents for studying abroad in the Golden Panda Project, and discusses the application of Baidu Library in translating these documents.Under the guidance of the Skopos translation theory, this thesis mainly analyses problems encountered in the author's translation practice and how to use parallel texts from Baidu Library to help solve these problems, finally summarizes the importance of parallel text in practical text translation.
