A Research On The Vocabulary Of Nanbu Dialect In Sichuan Province

In this paper,we used "Chinese Dialect Words Survey Items" and "Questionnaire of Characters for Dialect Surveys",and used the International Phonetic Alphabet to faithfully record the speech sounds of individual characters and vocabulary on the base of spot investigation in dialect,and carefully studied the language situation of the spot dialect to fill in territorial gaps of Sichuan dialect survey.Mainly using survey method, description and comparison and so on, we conducted a detailed research of the vocabulary of Nanbu dialect.The thesis consisted of five parts:The first part was introduction.We introduced the Geography, Population and historic evolution of Nanbu County,defined the research content,meaning and methods of the paper, and introduced research status of Nanbu dialect and the Phonetic System of Nanbu dialect.The second part was the characteristics of the vocabulary of Nanbu dialect.We sumeed up the word formation characteristics and semantic features of the vocabulary of Nanbu dialect :first, there was some special affixes;Second,duplication,compared to the mandarin, the most obvious feature of the duplication of Nanbu dialect was that the noun, verb and adjective morpheme duplication can form a noun.The third part was a comparative and diachronic study of the vocabulary of Nanbu dialect.We compared the vocabulary of Nanbu dialect and the vocabulary of modern Chinese common language from the synchronic perspective and inspected the vocabulary of Nanbu dialect from the diachronic perspective.The fourth part illustrated the textual criticisms and explanations of the words and expressions of Nanbu dialect.In this chapter,we selected thirty-two dialect words in Nanbu dialect which was common and often difficult to write the original form of a character or replaced it with homophone.Based on referring to the achievements of textual criticisms and explanations of predecessors,we strivedto make textual criticisms and explanations of their original form and illustrate partial dialect words.The fifth part was the epilogue,that is the conclusions and research prospect of this paper.
