The frescoes in the daxiong treasure hall of the kaihua temple in gaoping,Shanxi Province are the most representative works of the temple murals in the song dynasty,which embody the style and artistic characteristics of the song dynasty.In the west wall of the daxiong treasure hall,there are many scenes that can reflect the secular life and social style of the society at that time.From the perspective of space,the construction of mural space can be divided into three parts: the construction of realistic and logical space;The construction of surreal and illogical space,and finally the construction of space generated by murals and buildings.Taking part of the mural on the west wall of daxiong treasure hall as the research object,the paper explores the form of space expression in the mural.Among them,the realistic image elements in the mural and the realistic story content and plot create a real and virtual space;The building and distribution of every plot of mural scene builds a space is outspread,and some images constitute a symbolic space and the significance of the connotation and the space by the reality,the logic of spatial construction depends on the objective reality based on logic,painted murals in the things have a kind of inner link is the intrinsic logical relation,is the time of reality,spatial reorganization,arrangement,and makes the picture has extensibility.Through the construction of the space in the mural,the space it is in becomes an extended concept space based on the real space.
