Teaching material is the basis of teachers' teaching activities,and it is also the source that help students acquire knowledge and skills.It not only largely determines the quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning, but also embodied the teaching goal, principle and content,and it is the fundamental guarantee of the syllabus to implement. In this paper foreign language teaching materials " New Practical Chinese "( Thai Version) and "Contemporary Chinese "( Thai Edition) were selected as the research object, literature analysis, quantitative analysis and comparative analysis were research methods, and combined with my experience as a Chinese volunteer teachers of Confucius Institute at Phuket Campus, Prince Of Songkla University, Thailand, and has mastered the knowledge to comparative analyze the two Chinese textbooks from text, vocabulary, grammar, cultural projects, design practice five aspects,and found out the features and design deficiencies of the two textbooks, based on the difference were analyzed on two sets of textbooks to propose appropriate proposals and reference for teachers and users,hoping to make a little contribution for teaching Chinese career.
