| The economic globalization has been bringing along global development in tourism.Revolution-enrichment tourism,as a new theme tourism industry, emerged in the tide of tourism globalization. As cradle of "Red China",Jiangxi has a distinguished place in China’s long history because of its rich revolutionary resources. For example,Nanchang was called"Cradle of People’s Army",Jinggang Mountain "Cradle of the Chinese Revolution",and Ruijin "Cradle of People’s Republic".Jiangxi Province catches the eyes of the world by its rich unique "Red resources" in the process of China’s communication with the world. Therefore, more and more foreigners choose to travel to Jiangxi nowadays.Currently, there are still a lot to be improved in translation of revolution-enrichment tourism text in Jiangxi.Eco-translatology is a new translation theory put forward by Chinese scholar Hu Gengshen in the first translational lecture in Hong Kong Baptist University. He introduces the ecological terms and principles into translation studies, and tries to combine "ecology"with "translation".It is a paradigm of translation studies from the perspective of Eco-translatology.Eco-translatology puts its emphasis on the selective adaptions and adaptive selections in the process of translation, and it believes that the translator can make adaptive selections to the target text only if he has made selective adaptions to the ecological environment of the source text.Meanwhile,it advocates the translating method in multi-dimensions,which can be realized in translation practice mainly at linguistic, cultural, and communicative level.Eco-translatology,as a theory characterized by its inter-disciplinary features, can be applied to the translation practice, especially the applied translation practice such as the translation of revolution-enrichment tourism text. The author proposes to analyze the translation of revolution-enrichment tourism text from the perspective of Eco-translatology,with Jiangxi Province as a case study, hoping to make some contributions to the translation of revolution-enrichment tourism text. This thesis consists of six chapters. The first chapter introduces the research background, the research significance, the research questions, the research methodology and data collection, and the framework of the thesis. The second chapter mainly reviews the previous studies of revolution-enrichment tourism, tourism translation and revolution-enrichment tourism text translation, and the theory of Eco-translatology.The third chapter puts emphasis on introducing the theoretical framework of Eco-translatology by the mainstays of the theory and its three-dimensional transformation method.Apart from a general description of the current translation of revolution-enrichment tourism text, chapter four analyzes some errors at the linguistic, cultural, and communicative levels from the perspective of Eco-translatology with possible causes.Chapter five explores some strategies which can be applied to reduce the errors in the translation of revolution-enrichment tourism text. Finally, chapter six concludes the main findings and limitations of this thesis with suggestions for possible further studies. |
