Tag is an important part of the clothing brand's visual identity. It is a clothing brand's image as a business card and the product of the era of commodity economy. In the style of clothing, Hangtag Design features as the basis convey the brand image and enhance consumer awareness of the brand culture. The design has become that tag clothing brand style is especially important. Brand clothing tag usually consists of main tag and auxiliary tag. The main tag conveys directly the brand image and characteristics while the auxiliary tag tells about product material, size, price and other related information. The main tag most reflects the brand's style and fashion.This paper mainly studies the design method and performance of brand clothing tag.Research studies are made specifically on the usage of the targeted brands' logos.Through photo-shooting and sorting of sample tags and from the aesthetic perspective for in-depth analysis,he author found that the current hangtag designs can be categorized into:brand name character design, logo-based design, and both combined for primary pattern for with auxiliary tag card design. In terms of types, there are single brand tag design and a series of tag design methods and rules. According to the above analysis, the core clothing tag design patterns can be categorized into five types as "the text as the main body, text and shading for subject, text and graphic logo for the subject, Chinese as the main tag type design techniques and tag series card". Through the in-depth analysis on the characteristics of these five types, this article tries to seek the changing rules.The results of above analysis are further measured against matching and association degree, based on the characteristics of the corresponding clothing brand style. The author analyzed the brand style and characteristics according to the tag design, and association between clothing style and tag's visual style, based on which the correlation and matching degrees between tag's visual effect and brand style are further studied. Moreover, the article explored on how tag design techniques of clothing brand can improve brand image.In the end, Hangzhou-based women brand Hopeshow was taken as an example.Invertigation and analysis of Hopeshow brand, Based on Hopeshow brand clothing style,the company's development strategy and other factors, this paper analyzed and researched on Hopeshow's tag design and made improvement practice on the hangtag of the brand.The company's relevant departments examined and demonstrated that the design scheme on the company's existing brand tag is of certain reference value.
