Report On Translation Of An Introduction To Dramatherapy(Chapters One & Two)

This paper is a translation report on the first two chapters from the English book An Introduction to Dramatherapy, which was published in 2006. The book mainly tells us the meaning, background, theory, practice and cases of dramatherapy. This report will be based on the translation of the first two chapters of the book, namely What is Dramatherapy and Theory into Practice, to give a thorough description of the translation project. Detailed cases will be used to clarify how I translated under the guidance of functional equivalence,The report is divided into five parts. Part one is the description of the translation project, including the brief introduction and background about the original text and the motive and significance of the translation. Part two describes the process of the project. Part three is about the research on functional equivalence. Part four is the case analysis from the prospects of semantic equivalence, formal equivalence, and cultural equivalence. Part five is the conclusion of the translation project and some problems to be solved in the future.
