A Report On The Interpretation Practice Of Financial Speeches By Stanley Fischer, Vice-chairman Of The US Federal Reserve

As the US being the world‘s greatest economy, the US central bank, the Federal Reserve, not only makes decisions that determine United States‘ financial system, but also exerts large influence on the global economy. Since the outburst of the global financial crisis in 2008, the Federal Reserve has been playing an indispensable role in the economic and financial recovery of United States and the world. Ever since Stanley Fischer took the position of vice chairman, he has delivered abundant speeches on various occasions, the content of which includes reflecting on misconducts, rejuvenating financial stability and showing forward guidance on economic growth. A thorough comprehension of his speeches can give Chinese audience some enlightenment on the recent policy evolvements and the macro economic development, offering some reference for future policymaking.This report will discuss the consecutive interpretation practice of three financial speeches delivered by Stanley Fischer in four chapters.
