Japanese Manga And Anime Culture's Influence On The Creation Of "Post-80S" Metropolitan Novel

The rise of "post-80s" literature is a special phenomenon in the literary world, and the "post-80s" writers has repeatedly become researchers' object of study. The difference from tradition, which is closely related to the social and cultural background of the growth of "post-80s", seems to have been reflected in all respects, from the works to the writers themselves. Among them, as a literary phenomenon with the characteristics of the times, the elements of Japanese manga and anime in the text of "post-80s" metropolitan novels are cause for concern. As a foreign culture under specific historical background, Japanese manga and anime which has been popular in China since eighty or ninety's of last century, has become youthful memories of "post-80s", thus made for unique influential literary resources. The factor of Japanese manga and anime brings fresh pop elements to "post-80s" works to make them more consistent with the young readers' expectation and the demand of the market, while also reflecting "post-80s" writers' aesthetic and value orientation with the background of contemporary culture in a certain extent. This thesis will discuss Japanese manga and anime culture's influence on "post-80s" metropolitan novels mainly from the following aspects:The first part is the preface, which briefly introduces the concept of "post-80s" metropolitan novel and the concept of Japanese manga and anime, as well as research status and research methods of the subject. The second part discusses the reflection of the elements of Japanese manga and anime in the "post-80s" metropolitan novel text, and is divided into three chapters as follows: First, the characteristic features of the character set, including idolization and labelling; second, the youth-oriented features of the subject content, including death writing and emotion writing; third, the visualisation features of the novel language, including scenarization and lens description, as well as the depiction of light and color. The third part discusses the source of the influence of Japanese manga and anime on the "post-80s" metropolitan novels, namely the cultural background of Japanese manga and anime of the creation of "post-80s", including the general situation of the communication of Japanese manga and anime in China, the emotional identification under the influence of childhood complex, the value identification in the context of youth sub-culture, and the image turn in the context of visual culture.
