Children's literature is a branch of literature which has its own target audience and traits. Thus, in translating children's literature, we should not only make sure the translation in accordance with the general translation strategies and principles, but also take the unique audience into consideration.Translation of children's literature remains a peripheral field in China. Since children are the future of China, enough care and attention should be given to them. Providing them with good translation work of children's literature is one of many things we could do, in the process of which we can also contribute to the development of children's literature in China. In addition, the study of translating methods and strategies can lead to better versions of other works.Three major rules of Skopos Theory are skopos rule, coherence rule and fidelity rule, with skopos ruleranking first. Therefore, translators should always keep the purpose in mind(translating for children), and have to adjust some translations to fit children's characteristics and transmit the literary style.
