An Analysis Of The Influence Of Professional Background On The Interpreter's Performance

Ever since the reform and opening up, China has become more closely linked to the world. With rapid development in various industries, the ever-increasingly frequent contact requires more interpreting services. With the deepening of the Professionalization and Marketization of interpretation, the service quality has become the hottest issue for all clients.Interpretation quality should be affected by numerous factors while the requirements from different employers may also differ. How to provide fast and efficient interpreting service to the clients with improved satisfaction has now become the common goal of all interpreters.The author takes full advantage of his multi-professional background, and does a meticulous comparative analysis of the corpus from an interpreting case, RTS China Training Program 2015, accompanied with samples from other test interpreters, in order to reveal the influence of professional background on the interpreter's performance.With strategies given at the end of this article, it is expected to be used as a reference, and to provide guidelines to future translator, so they could make tough interpreting challenges easier.
