A Study Of Readers' Subjectivity's Influence On The English Translation Of Report On Government Work By Premier Li Keqiang In 2016

With the development of Reception Aesthestic theory and Reader-response theory,readers' subjectivity has been emphasized much more.However,there are a few researches on readers' subjectivity concerning translation,especially in translation of political texts.The thesis uses The Report on the Work of the Government in 2016 as a case study,and adopts Nida's Reader-response theory as the theoretical framework.And four research questions are proposed:(1)What is the correlation between the readers'subjectivity and Reader-response theory?(2)What are the factors affecting the target language readers,understanding of the translation of The Report on the Work of the Government in 2016?(3)How to better express the readers' subjectivity in the translation of The Report on the Work of the Government in 2016?The thesis analyzes the translation of The Report on the Work of the Government in 2016 from language and culture two factors and conclusions are the following:(1)Reader-response theory enlighten readers' subjectivity and readers;subjectivity should be paid much attention.Considering readers' response as a translation factor,the translator can not only improves the quality of translation,but also promote the communication between China and the world.(2)Different language and culture are the two main factors which affect the readers to understand the translated text.(3)The reader's importance in translation can be achieved by the way that the translator adopts some appropriate translations methods such as addition,explanation and reconstruction etc.making the translated text acceptable for the target language readers and easily understood.
