Buddha created discipline to regulate every aspect of life in monastery during the decades when he spread Buddha dharma.Buddhism was introduced into China in the Han Dynasty and from Baizhang master,monastic Codes became an important part of Chinese Buddhism.The Codes were also used to be the discipline of Zen.Due to the influence of Chinese traditional culture,the Codes took a long time to get acclimatized to the society of China and the adaptive sequence of Zen can be reflected in different monastic Codes.This paper tries to express the entries relate to filial piety in monastic Codes in the Song and Yuan Dynasties and so we can find out the generating transformation of Buddhism in China.In the forward section,the conception of monastic Code and filial piety will be explained and the Codes in the Song and Yuan Dynasties for consultation will also be introduced.In the following section,the developing process of filial piety in Codes will be interpreted in two perspectives.The point of this paper will also be developed further at the last chapter.To conclude,we will see signs of the development of filial piety in monastic Codes in the Song and Yuan Dynasties under the influence of the Confucianism.
