As one of the volunteers who has been teaching Chinese in Korea for two years,the author is interested to study the effect of learning Chinese songs on improvement of Chinese proficiency base on the teaching experience in a South Korean middle school.The author has seleted the most suitable Chinese songs for Chinese teaching based on the local teaching material and the teaching practice of Chinese in Korean,the questionnaire results of the student favourite Chinese songs,and the properties of the songs.The use of these songs in Chinese teaching have confimed the hypthosis that whether singing Chinese songs does have a positivie effect on Chinese proficiency.This article is divided into five chapters.The introduction introduces the reason of choosing this title,the current situation of domestic and foreign research on the current situation of Chinese teaching in Korea and the significance of this thesis.In the first chapter of the thesis,the author puts forward the hypothesis that the Chinese songs can promote the improvement of Chinese proficiency,and the research methods are described.This research is mostly carried out in the form of experimental method,the classroom practice method and the questionnaire.In the second chapter,through the analysis of a set of comparative parallel teaching experiments,the positive effect of Chinese songs learning the improvement of learners’ Chinese proficiency has been confirmed.The third chapter further consummates the hypothesis and proves that through the teaching experiment set up for Chinese phonetics,vocabulary,grammar and Chinese culture,that Chinese songs learning has positive effect on improving the skills on writing,vocabulary,grammar and culture studies of Chinese language.In the fourth chapter,the author divides the selected Chinese songs into four categories: functional rhythm songs,children’s songs,popular songs and cultural appreciation of the tracks,followed by analysis to these four categories.The fifth chapter is a summary of the above mentioned experiments and teaching practice,and how these verificaty the hypothesis.The last part of this chapter is the conclusion and the discussion of the entir thesis.
