The Practice Report Of Interpreting Notes

With development of economic globalization,communications among countries have been gradually close and frequent,and interpretation has been receiving more and more attention,requiring continuous improvements of interpreters' quality.Hence,interpreters are required to be familiar with various skills of interpretation.As an important skill in interpretation training,notetaking plays irreplaceable role.The most prominent roles are to reduce memory pressure and hint memory links as well as to finally improve interpretation quality(Xia Bin,2013).Hence,it is especially important to master this skill.The text materials for this practical report are mainly from speeches and lectures of ambassador to Japan Cheng Yonghua and related articles about speeches and lectures in the book titled The Newly Organized Chinese-Japanese Simultaneous Interpretation Tutorial compiled by professor Song Xieyi.The practice enriches the writer's knowledge reserve related to speeches and lectures and improves the writer's strain capacity and interpretation note-taking ability.The main research method of this paper is to refer to related research results on interpretation note-taking,focus on referring to difficulties in consecutive interpretation note-taking as well as related literatures on interpretation notetaking from perspectives of countermeasures and skills of consecutive interpretation note-taking.By managing,comparing and concluding,it further explores features of interpretation note-taking in speeches and lectures.Based on a lot of reading on previous studies and in combination with the writer's practice of interpretation note-taking,the writer summarizes reasonable note-taking skills for speeches and lectures.The conclusion of this paper is to select note-taking purposefully and selectively,properly utilize one's own note-taking system.This is helpful for producing high quality interpretation.No matter which note-taking methods to use,if only it can motivate the interpreters' memory and promote them to complete interpretation successfully,note-taking plays its role correctly.The hope is to accumulate some experience for note-taking in speeches and lectures in the future via this interpretation note-taking practice report and correctly play note-taking role to finally realize successful interpretation.
