It's quite essential to check whether a textbook is scientific for the important role the textbook plays in education.Meanwhile, foreign students have been always in difficulty in studying Chinese complex sentences in Chinese learning.Considering these two points above, this paper focuses on the disadvantages of Chinese complex sentences in Bridge-Practical Chinese Intermediate Tutorial and advice of it after comparing Bridge-Practical Chinese Intermediate Tutorial I taught and Grammar Level Outline,aiming to provide some own ideas.There are five parts in my paper.The first part is about the significance, the content, the object and the method of my study, and the innovation of this article.And the second one is about the summary and the comparison of the kinds and classes of Chinese complex sentences in the two textbooks I chose.Then I study the repetition distribution in Grammar Level Outline, including 12 main ones and 94 subclasses, with memory theory in psychology in the third part.Well, in the fourth part, I put forward some proposal aiming at the problems I found in the chosen textbook.Finally, there comes my conclusion.
