The Study On Huang Zongxi's Yi-Ology

Huang Zongxi is one of the "three profound Confucian scholars" in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties,and his academic thoughts have always been valued by scholars.The thought of Yi-ology of Huang Zongxi is a key part of his thoughts of Confucian classics.An in-depth study on the thought of Yi-ology of Huang Zongxi will help us better understand the whole academic system of Huang Zongxi.This article is the study of the thought of Yi-ology of Huang Zongxi,mainly introducing from the following aspects.The introduction briefly introduces the life of Huang Zongxi,the research situation of the thought of Yi-ology of Huang Zongxi by ancient and modern scholars,and the significance of my study on the thought of Yi-ology of Huang Zongxi.The first chapter is a general theory,which mainly expounds the general judgment of the evolution of the logic of the thought of Yi-ology of Huang Zongxi.After that,the thesis will start with the clues summarized by the general theory.I think:"Yi-ology image-number theory" is the key clue of the thought of Yi-ology of Huang Zongxi,with "Criticism-Establishment-Preservation" logical system as a way of elaboration.The second chapter discusses the study method of "Philosophical-connotation-oriented" and the critical way of "To remove the thoughts of Taoism and transform the divination",with criticizing "Image-Number" theory of Han and Song Dynasties.Huang Zongxi established his own "Philosophical-connotation-oriented" view on studying Yijing through the above two points of view.The third chapter describes that Huang Zongxi used the view of philosophical connotation of "Practice-oriented" and the way of establishment of "To integrate the Image-Number of Han Dynasty and the Philosophical-connotation of Song Dynasty by Practice-oriented" to establish his own Yi-ology system.He denied some methods of the school of "Philosophical-connotation" of Confucian scholars of Song Dynasty,like Cheng Yi's,which used the abstract,conceptual,metaphysical way of"Heavenly-principle" to study Yi-ology,and substituted his own methods which used specific,historical,practical way of "Practice-oriented" to study Yi-ology.His views replaced Cheng Yi's views.On the basis of the "Practice-oriented" theory,Huang Zongxi reconciled the contradiction between "Image-Number" and "Philosophical-connotation",and integrated "Image-Number" and "Philosophical-connotation" in some degrees."To integrate the Image-Number of Han Dynasty and the Philosophical-connotation of Song Dynasty by Practice-oriented" becomes the feature of the thought of Yi-ology of Huang Zongxi.The fourth chapter describes Huang Zongxi's view of practice of "Heaven-oriented" and the method of preservation of "To improve by the thoughts of Material-Science",with preserving many models,such as Taixuan which simulated the model of Yijing.Huang Zongxi liked "Heaven" knowledge like astronomical phenomena and Chinese traditional calendar,so when he studied Yijing in"Practice-oriented" way,he tended to use "Heaven" knowledge to inspire person's practice life.For the reason,Huang Zongxi had a tendency to save those models which are both most closely related to Yijing and "Heaven" knowledge.Because of his study methods of "Philosophical-connotation-oriented" and the views of philosophical connotation of "Practice-oriented",his preservation must not be idealistic and mysterious.So "Material-Science" becomes his methods of preservation.The fifth chapter is the summary and reflection of the full text.I believe that:the whole thought of Yi-ology of Huang Zongxi is inherently logical,in a series of processes of criticism,establishment and preservation,Huang Zongxi established the historical position of his own thoughts of Yi-ology.First,"Philosophical-connotation-oriented" makes the thought of Yi-ology of Huang Zongxi belong to the school of"Philosophical-connotation" of Song Dynasty.Second,"Practice-oriented" makes his thoughts belong to the school of Qi of the school of "Philosophical-connotation".At last,"Heaven-oriented" makes his thoughts belong to the school,tending to study Yijing by combining "Heaven" knowledge,of the school of Qi.Based on this historical position,we see that Huang Zongxi inherited the study methods of traditional Confucian,also developed his own unique Yi-ology system.Based on his thought of "Practice-oriented",on the one hand,he inherited his teacher Liu Jishan's thought "It is no significant for philosophical connotation without Qi".On the other hand,he made precedents for studying the source of thoughts of image-number of Han and Song Dynasties,and using practical knowledge to interpret Yijing.Of course,Huang Zongxi's Yi-ology also has shortcomings.Although his thought of "Practice-oriented" made Yijing return to the use by common people,he underestimated the traditional abstract theoretical thinking summary at the same time,with less illustration to common truth between things.
