With the development of positive psychology,humor has become a trend of the current psychology research.The research about gelotophobia related with phobia constantly comes into people's horizons.Reference to the phobia treatment(desensitization therapy),This research designed a humor curriculum,which intends to reduce gelotophobia sensitive degree of the participants.By letting the participants feel laugh,enjoy laugh,accept laugh and create laugh.It makes the participants not so afraid of laugh that their gelotophobia sensitive degree is decreased.This research is based on the research results at home and abroad.It combines survey and experimental research method.In this research,we 340 college students in Hangzhou are selected as subjects.It uses College Students' Multi-level Sense of Humor Scale and Gelotophobia Scale to check the current status of their humor sense and gelotophobia.Based on the survey,it compares the test result before and after the humor intervention to assess its effect.At last,the thesis further discussed the feasibility of humor intervention to reduce gelotophobia among college students.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)About 9.7% college students have gelotophobia.It is obviously higher among female college students than male college students.As for humor sense,there is significant differences in different disciplines background.As for humor sense and gelotophobia,there is no significant difference between different grade,age,and economic level.(2)Colleague students 'humor sense is obviously negative related with their gelotophobia.Specifically,gelotophobia and humor acceptation,humor appreciation,humor expression,humor creation four dimensions were significantly negative correlation.But,humor acceptation and humor expression,humor creation,sense of humor were significantly positive correlation;humor appreciation and humor expression,humor creation,sense of humor were significantly positive correlation;humor expression and humor creation,sense of humor were significantly positive correlation;humor creation and sense of humor were significantly positive correlation;(3)There is significant change in the humorous acceptation and humorous appreciation but not in humorous creation and humorous expression through humor intervention.This suggests that the specification designed humor intervention program can partially improve the sense of humor.(4)Through humor intervention,gelotophobia index of the subjects had significantly decreased,which proved that the specification designed humor intervention program can effectively reduce the subjects ' gelotophobia index.
