Similar Chinese Characters Learning Based On The Configuration Of Chinese Characters In TCSL

The prominent characteristic of Chinese characters configuration lies in the meaning each Chinese character aims to express,therefore we can acquire information of Chinese characters by analyzing their forms.If we apply this theory to teaching of characters with similar forms in TCFL,theoretical study about Chinese characters teaching will have a further development.At the same time,the Chinese characters teaching activities will be more scientific.In addition,when Chinese characters configuration theory is used to guide teaching,on the one hand,foreign students can distinguish the Chinese characters with similar forms easier in a relatively short period of time,which will improve their learning efficiency and literacy of Chinese characters;on the other hand,the application of configuration theory will make them have a better understanding of the theoretical basis and intentions of configuration of Chinese characters and their original meanings,increasing their interests in Chinese characters and making out the cultural connotations Chinese characters contain.The thesis aims to study the teaching of Chinese characters with similar forms in TCSL with the application of Chinese characters configuration theory in an intensive and detailed way.Besides,it will analyze the underlying causes for which foreign students have difficulties in distinguishing Chinese characters with similar forms and find out scientific and reasonable methods to improve the teaching of Chinese characters with similar forms in TCSL.This thesis adopts various methods such as Empirical research method,Statistical analysis method and Comparative analysis method to make research and discussion about configuration of Chinese characters according to foreign students' learning of Chinese characters with similar forms on the basis of theories in Configuration of Chinese Characters Lecture written by Wang Ning.Besides,it also borrows studies of other scholars in related fields,involving theories of Chinese Teaching,pedagogy,psychology and cognition.All of these will help us establish a clear mind for teaching of Chinese characters with similar forms in TCSL.
