Research On TFP And Its Affecting Factors Of Beijing’s Cultural Creative Industry

As the new century "innovation engine",the cultural creative industry has an increasing effect of the pull,demonstration and radiation for national economic development.Which itself has advantages and characteristics of low energy consumption,high additional value,high integration and resource saving,making it become a new economic growth point for cultivating the country’s economic strength and soft power in current knowledge economic era.Since 2006,the cultural creative industry was included in the Outline of China’s cultural development in the"Eleventh Five-Year" period,the cultural creative industry has achieved rapid development,almost all provinces took cultural creative industry as one of the important parts of China’s "the eleventh five-year" Economic Development Project.As the cultural and political center,the development of Beijing cultural creative industry has obtained much progress and made important contribute to the development of the local economic.But compared with Britain and other developed countries,there is a great space to improve the development of Beijing cultural creative industry.In order to better promote the coordinated the sustainable development of Beijing cultural creative industry,from the perspective of researching of Beijing cultural creative industrial total factor productivity,this paper measures and decomposes the TFP by the DEA-Malmquist index method,concluding that how the total factor productivity and its decomposition of Beijing cultural creative industry and the sub-industry are changing.On this basis,this paper uses Tobit model to study factors that influenced Beijing cultural creative industrial total factor productivity so as to find the prominent factors to adjust and accelerate stable and rapid development of Beijing cultural creative industry.This paper constitutes by six chapters of contents,which is divided into three parts.The first part is the preface,basic theories and literature review.First,it introduces the related theory of the cultural creative industry and the total factor productivity,gives the definition and classification of the cultural creative industry of Beijing and sorts out calculation methods of the total factor relative productivity;then,the article synthetically reviews the measurement and the factors of the cultural creative industrial total factor productivity from documentary perspective.The second part is the real diagnosis analysis.First,it expatiates the president situation of Beijing cultural creative industry,constructs indicators of inputs and outputs that involves 4 indicators including the number of practitioners,the total assets,the value added and total revenue on the basis of the existing literature;then,this paper measures and decomposes the cultural creative industrial total factor productivity from 2006 to 2014 in Beijing with the DEA-Malmquist index method and analyses the results from the proportion and subdivision industries;at last,the article takes calculated TFP of cultural creative industry as explained variable,selects 4 indicators including human resource,market demand,financial support and economic level as explanatory variables and concludes the influence degree and direction of various factors using Tobit model by a regression analysis.The third part is conclusions and suggestions.It raises some strategies to promote coordinate and sustainable development of Beijing cultural creative industry on the basis of researching results.According to the analysis results,first,the growth of Beijing cultural creative industrial total factor productivity from 2006 to 2014 is not obvious overall,it has grown only at an average of 0.4%.The productivity has kept growth trend until 2011,but was being dropped after 2011.According to the decomposed parts,the growth of TFP is due to technical progress,but reduction of technology efficiency gives a negative impact to it.According to the further decomposed parts,the reduction of the scale efficiency is the bottleneck constraining its technical efficiency.Second,from the point of fractionize fields,the TFP index data in each industry from 2006 to 2014 fluctuates in some ranges,which indicates the development of Beijing cultural creative industry is not mature and the industry basis is weak;on the whole,in addition to the literature and art,press and publishing and other auxiliary services industry,most of industrial TFP make some degree of gains.From the point of fractionize fields,the growth of sub-sectors TFP is due to technical progress.Besides,by the further decomposed of technical efficiency,both the pure technical and the scale efficiency basically remain at the stagnated or declined stages.Third,the level of human capital,the multi-level development needs of the cultural creative industry,the economic development level of a region and financial support from the government have a notable promoting influence to TFP of Beijing cultural creative industry.The developments of the first three have a positive effect to TFP of Beijing cultural creative industry,but financial supports from the government bring the opposite effects.
