This thesis uses students of Indonesian background as the research object;this research was carried out through the study of Chinese characters of 64 students in elementary schools.A brief survey was used to research the use of Chinese characters and learning strategies among Indonesian students.This thesis also used Chinese writing skills and Chinese character recognition tests in order to understand the effect of the Chinese character learning strategy on Chinese character learning.The survey was divided into two sections,which collected the Chinese character learning strategies questionnaire from students of two different levels.Chinese character tests,classroom notes,after-school assignments and normal tests,combined with the subjects for a semester of classroom observation,were all used to do a comparative analysis of students from the two different levels.In order to further study Indonesian students,we analyzed two groups of students,one group was had students with a high level of Chinese and the other group was conformed by students with a lower Chinese level.Through my own 15 year Chinese character learning experience,and the combination of investigation and understanding of Indonesian Chinese characters learners,I believe that Chinese characters are one of the greatest difficulties for Indonesian Chinese learners.The main purpose of this study is to understand the strategies used by Indonesian Chinese learners to learn Chinese characters.Furthermore,let students learn Chinese characters in "non-target" language environments,but also encourage local teachers to pay more attention to students Chinese character learning and teach students how to use effective Chinese learning strategies by creating Chinese character teaching models designed for Indonesian students. |
