Thai is a system of phonetic consonant,and Chinese have the character of semantic and phonetic. It’s totally dil orent method to study these two languages, which lead difficulty in character identification stroke writing, pronunciation and marking the meaning. Although many scholars research from the view of Chinese characters teaching, however the search from the angle of leaner isn’t enough. So this paper try to search learning strategies.The author start the research from112students from Chiang Mai University and the Royal University, make investigation of the usage of various Chinese characters learning strategy and put forward some teaching suggestions.The questionnaire divided into two categories,1:Formal training strategy, Shape strategy, Stroke strategy, pronunciation and meaning strategy.2:Functional practice strategy, Summary strategy, Application strategy, Word guessing strategy and Mother tongue strategy. Study the usage of Chinese characters learning strategies during the primary stage students in Thailand according to these methods, and put forward the final suggestions of Chinese characters teaching strategy.This article is divided into four chapters.The first chapter:Explains the purpose and significance of the research, determine the searching objects and methods. Giving literature review and four relative researches.1:The relevant research of learning strategies.2:Chinese characters learning strategies.3:Chinese characters teaching research.4:Chinese characters learning and teaching research in Thailand and Explains introduction of the basic theories.The second chapter:The investigation of learning strategies about primary chinese characters for Thai students, Analysis the Investigation using the SPSS system.The third chapter:The Statistics and analysis of invetigate programs of learning strategies of chinese characters.The sort of strategies usage is mother tongue strategy, meaning strategy,stroke strategy, shape strategy, pronunciation and, summary strategy, words guessing strategy,application strategy.The fourth chapter:Conclusion.
