This paper is a study based on the external factors of the porcelains in the shipwreck of the Tang Dynasty named "Batu Hitam" discovered in Indonesia. On the basis of extensive collection of related images and current materials about the porcelains in "Batu Hitam"and further field investigations, this study makes a full comparison between the "Batu Hitam"porcelains and those from Byzantium,Saskatchewan,Arab,Sogdian,India and other countries from three perspective of type, pattern and mold decals by making a classification, analysis and sorting of thousands of porcelains unearthed from the "Batu Hitam",thus to analyze the external factors contained in the"Batu Hitam"porcelains, and explore its cultural origin, finally demonstrating the absorption and influence of the ceramic culture of the Tang Dynasty on the foreign culture.First of all,to this article, among all the unearthed porcelains in the"Batu Hitam",Hu ewer,Stem cup,Cup with handle, multi curved long cup,Floral disc and flat kettle were a imitation from the gold Silverware products possessing the West Aisa and Central Asia factors.Second, under the dual influence of the Buddhist culture and Islamic culture, the lotus pattern,Capricorn fish pattern, and etc.of the former and the character pattern, animal pattern, plant pattern, geometric design pattern of the latter as well as Arabic were presented in the painting of the porcelains in Changsha kiln.Last but not least, there is a large number of images of coconut palms,Hu people and lions which all come from the West and overseas in the molds and decals of,which obviously demonstrates external factors. Therefore, the"Batu Hitam"porcelains faithfully reflects prosperity of the Maritime Silk Road in the late Tang Dynasty, representing that the ceramic art exchange has reached a certain level at that time between the Tang Dynasty and the countries along the "One belt and one road".
