Analysis On The Four-letter Word Interpretation Method In President Xi's Speech

International media pay more attention to the comments of President Xi Jinping as China's political status in the international arena is rising recent years.China and Russia maintain good-neighborly and friendly relation of cooperation,communication on economy and culture is frequent as well.Therefore,Russian interpretation application also appears especially important.President Xi Jinping is adept in China's four-word phrases in a veriety of internationgal speeches.Refering to ancient codes and records properly is the most important character in his speech.The four-word phrase which have clear shape and neat format is the presentation of chenese profound culture and history,and its meaning is far more profound than literal semantic meaning.Interpretation work has strong immediacy,how to understand the meaning of China's four-word phrase in a short period of time and express and accurate in Russian is a great challenge for Interpreters.Interpreter is a bridge of two kinds of language communication,considering the semantics of the speaker and taking care of the language habits,as well as remaining the transformation of the two kinds of language is accurate,are the biggest test to the interpreter.The interpreter in the face of such daily translation should notonly refer to a large number of literature data to understan of Chinese culture indepth,to master a large vocabulary and grammar knowledge and understand its language features is necessary as well.This paper is based on a lot of materials and examples,studying the translation methods of China's four-word phrases through summarizing those ones in the speeches of President Xi Jinping.In this article,therefore,the speech of President Xi Jinping as an example,analysising the use of four-word phrases and translation methods.Combined with the difficulty of such translation come to the conclusion that literal translation,extension,parts of speech translation,limit-translation,plus-translation,and pointing out the problems of interpretation work in the future,summering up the relevant working experience.This article is made of three parts--introduction,text and epilogue.The introduction of this thesis research background,research approach,research status at home and abroad to do a simple introduction,etc.The text is divided into four parts.The first chapter gives a simple definition to the meaning of four words,telling eh diffrences between clear idioms and idiom.The second chapter makes generalizations and summarizes its characteristics of the four-word phrases ues by President Xi Jinping.The third chapter study the five translation methods one by one.The fourth chapter analysises interpreting problems.Two basic principles including meaning unchanged and simple interpretation content.Four attentions madeup with choosing suitable translation method,combining with the context,background of China's four-word phrases,etc.Making a summary to how to solve the problems of dealing with the process of translation and attention.Epilogue summarizes the article content,and pointing out the problems in interpretation work for follow-up study.
