Tourism is a kind of activity enjoyed by people from time immemorial.Economic globalization minimized the gap between China and the world.More Chinese people go abroad to explore the colorful world,while more foreigners are fascinated by the ancient oriental flavor and travel around China.As a noted historic and cultural city in north Hunan,Changde has beautiful scenery and honest folkways.Moreover,relying on the Changde International Tourism Festival,Changde has attracted more tourists coming here for sightseeing in recent years.Tour interpretation is used by tour guide to provide information to visitors,so the quality of it has a direct impact on visitors’ experience.In other words,good tour interpretation or good translate tour interpretation translation well can not only optimize visitors’ travel experience and arouse the interest of more people to come and visit,but also display China’s image as a hospitable country.Based on the translation practice on Hunan Tour Interpretation:Changde,the report is aimed at an analysis of the translation methods in tour interpretation translation under the guidance of the Skopos Theory.It expands that in order to achieve the interactive purpose of tour interpretation,translators need to follow the Skopos Theory and face up to the differences between Chinese and English.In order to achieve communicative purposes in interpretation translation,translators can deal with the names of scenic spots and cultural-loaded words with’transliteration or literal translation.As for sentence patterns which are different from English ones,translators can use adaptation and division to break their original forms so as to get the intratextual coherence.Moreover,the report also points out that literal translation and free translation can be used flexibly in translating couplets and figure of speech to make the translation faithful to the original.
