An Analysis Of Political Texts From The Perspective Of Eco-Translatology

Since China implemented the opening up and reform policy,it has achieved great progress and development in political,economic and ecological aspects and so on.The international status of China has markedly advanced,deepen understanding of China from the outside world is pressing especially given the great concern on China’s domestic development.The Government Work Reports(GWR)are significant political texts given by Prime Minister Li Keqiang each year,which is comprehensively introduced the development of politics,economy and livelihood issues.The Government Work Report provides a platform to the outside world to understand China and introduces its own conditions and achievements to the international society.Therefore,the precise and adaptive translation is necessary.Prof.Hu Gengshen initiated the basic concepts of Eco-Translatology in the year of 2001.Eco-Translatology has formed its own systematic translation theory.EcoTranslatology is an ecological approach to translation studies as well as an interdisciplinary study combining the ecology and translatology.Eco-Translatology defines the translation as a selecting activity which is dominated by the translator,based on the texts and aimed at the transformation of intercultural information and it also means the translator should adapt to the eco-environment of translation for the purpose of transplantation of the texts.Eco-Translatology applies the threedimensional translation strategy and treats the multi-dimensional integration as its highest pursuit.Therefore,the theory and strategy of Eco-Translatology provide an opportunity for the achievement of the best translation of political texts from a new perspective.This thesis is developed in five chapters.The first chapter introduces the research background and its significance and the methodology.The second chapter discusses the main achievements of related studies at home and abroad.In the third chapter,the author describes the main theoretical framework of Eco-Translatology.In the fourth chapter,this thesis clarifies the specific strategies of the GWR from the perspective of Eco-Translatology.In the conclusion,a summary is given on the discussed points and further suggestions in the same direction are proposed.
