The Influence Of College Student's Cyber Bullying On Mental Health

Objectives: To explore impact of cyber bullying on college students' mental health,we constructed the whole model including network of social support and mental flexibility,and analysed the mechanism of the action of cyber-bullied and cyber-bullying to college students' mental health level from the point of view of environment and the individual? Methods: The research adopted questionnaire method with cyberbullying scale,symptom self-assessment scale(SCL-90),Internet social support questionnaire and Connor-Davidson resilience scale to survey 608 college students.Descriptive statistics,independent sample t test,single factor analysis of variance,mediating effect analysis and regulation effect test were used by SPSS19.0 and AMOS21.0 Results:(1)Different genders and disciplines of college students didn't exist significant differences in mental health level(t=-0.27,p>0.05;F=-0.38,p>0.05);Different one-child conditions,origin and the roles of cyber bullying significant difference existed among college students' mental health level(t=-2.29,p<0.05;t=-4.64,p<0.001;F=11.26,p<0.001);(2)The dimension of cyber bullying,cyber bullied correlated with Internet social support(r=0.25,p < 0.01;r=0.29,p < 0.01)and also had positive correlation significantly with mental health(r=0.20,p<0.01;r=0.23,p<0.01);Resilience didn't exist significant correlation with cyber bullying and cyber bullied dimensions(r=0.01,p>0.05;r=0.01,p>0.05),and did with mental health(r=-0.32,p<0.01);(3)Internet social support existed part significant intermediation between cyber bullying dimension or cyber bullied dimension and psychological health,effects of which were 24.11% and 22.03%;(4)Resilience didn't exist significant moderation between cyber bullying and mental health,but did between cyber bullied and mental health.Conclusion:(1)Cyber bullying dimension,cyber bullied dimension,Internet social support and mental health were significantly positively correlative;(2)Internet social support existed both partial intermediary effect on cyber bullying or cyber bullied and mental health;(3)Resilience could not moderate the role of cyber bullying on mental health,but could moderate the cyber bullied on mental health.
