Learning needs is a key factor in foreign language learning.to fully understand the learners’ learning needs,not only can help learners to learn Chinese better,but also can provide reference to the teaching of Chinese language teachers.Based on the needs analysis theory as a guide,reference to relevant information,the writer designs the questionnaire,summarizes the learning situation of primary level students of the Overseas Education College in Soochow University on Chinese learning needs through statistical analysis of sample data,analyzes the reasonable composition of the needs of students and proposes teaching suggestions to solve these problems and adapt one lesson in the textbook as an example,in order to better promote the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.This paper is divided into five parts: the first part is summarizing and combing the research significance and theoretical basis;the second part is designing questionnaire based on the deficiencies of the elementary Chinese textbooks;the third part is summarizing the sample statistics of the questionnaire survey and analyzing it by scientific software;the fourth part is proposing adaptation suggestion according to the results of the data analysis of textbooks and summarizing the scientific nature and the inadequacies of the research.
