A Report On Conference Interpreting Of The China Hebei-Southern Africa Matchmaking Symposium Of Talent Project And Capacity Cooperation

During a summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation(FOCAC)in 2015,president Xi Jinping announced the relationship between China and Africa had been upgraded from the new type of China-Africa strategic partnership into a comprehensive strategic and cooperative partnership.Since then,the communications and cooperation on the provincial level in China have been increased.As the ‘bridge' of the communication,an interpreter plays a vital role.The quality of the interpreter's translation will directly affect the result of mutual exchange.Based on the interpreting practice during the China Hebei-Southern Africa Matchmaking Symposium of Talent Project and Capacity Cooperation,the writer completes the report and analyses the coping strategies adopted in the interpreting practice.This report is divided into four sections.In section one,the writer introduces the interpreting task from its background information,requirements and task type.Then describes the whole process of the task in section two.As the essence of this report,section three demonstrates how interpreting theories and strategies are used in the writer's practice.Firstly,the writer introduces the theory of sense briefly.Then,the writer explains how the target language is influenced by cognitive knowledge.Moreover,in the last part of this section,strategies of deverbaliazation are expounded.In section four,the writer summarizes the unsolved problems during the practice,then concludes the whole task.It is sincerely hoped that this report can offer some constructive helps to other MTI students.
