Research On The World Beyond Described In Selmol Byangcfaangz Of The Buyi Ethnic

This thesis mainly research on the idea of the world beyond that described in the Selmol byangcfaangz of the Buyi Ethnic.The paper based on the data from the fieldwork and two Chines versions of the Selmol byangcfaangz,which are the deeus mol aul xiez jings baus yah of Luoping county in the Yunnan Province and the Moldangs of Wangmo county in the Guizhou Province,analyze the specific meanings of the world beyond described in the Selmol byangcfaangz and the people of Buyi Ethnic's degree of faith on the fairyland,then figure out the significance of ideology and culture embodied by the idea of the world beyond that described in the Selmol byangcfaangz of Buyi Ethnic.This article is composed by three parts:the Introduction part,the text and the conclusion part.The Introduction part talks about the origin of selecting the topic and the literature review on the Underworld view of the Selmol byangcfaangz.Then discuss the methods and research significance of this paper.The text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter present the long road to the fairyland that the Selmol byangcfaangz depicts and then analyze its meaning of the road.Talk about the implied meaning of the road-block like the Dam,street,layer,bridge and so on.The Second chapter focuses on the fairyland.First,analyze the wealthy and supernatural feature of the fairyland.Then,analyze the people of the Buyi Ethnic's degree of faith on the fairyland and also discourse what effect has this faith on the life of the Buyi Ethnic based on the data from the fieldwork.The third chapter mainly study the source and the implied meaning of the ghosts and the deities which appeared in the road to the fairyland.Talk about the characteristic of the deities of the Moldangs that derived from the Buddhism and the Taoism,then think about how deep does the the Selmol byangcfaangz influenced by the Buddhism and the Taoism.Analyze the people's beliefs of the Buddhism and the Taoism in the Buyi Ethnic according to the the data from the fieldwork.The fourth chapter argues that the world beyond is a reflection of the nature and the human society,while it is also a kind of a transformation.Then analyze the significance of ideology and culture embodied by the he idea of the world beyond that described in the Selmol byangcfaangz of the Buyi Ethnic.The conclusion part has summarize the main point of the whole paper and reflect on the inheritance of the Mo culture in the Buyi Ethnic.
