A Report On The English-Chinese Translation Of Enterprise Websites

With an increasing number of small and big-sized overseas-funded enterprises paying more attention to their product publicity in China,there has been a growth in demand of English-Chinese translation of relevant websites.This report is centered on the translation project which was completed by the author in two months time.After stating the background,requirement,purpose and process of the project,this report analyzes the text type of the websites of product publicity,and then explores available translation skills which are feasible for rendering the texts of English websites into those of Chinese from the aspects of words and semantic structure.Some expressions and sentences in the first translation by the author are carefully compared and analyzed with the improved versions also by the author herself later on.At last the author makes the conclusion,points out inadequacy and limitations of the project,and the direction of future research in the information type of translation.
