Translation Project For Contract Of Sale-Office,Commercial And Multi-Family Residential Premises

This is a translation report for excerpts from Contract of Sale--Office,Commercial and Multi-Family Residential Premises.In the translation practice,the author finds that attributive clauses have contributed to the difficulties in translation of the law.Therefore,attributive clauses are chosen as the theme of the report with the leading analysis of legal texts.This paper intends to analyze methods used in translating English attributive clauses.This paper has adopted case study as the research method.Firstly,the author introduces the importance of attributive clauses in legal translations.And the author briefly analyzes the categories and features of attributive clauses,and summarizes some general translation methods.Then by using some examples in Houses purchases and sales contracts,the author discusses Restrictive attributive clauses and Non-Restrictive attributive clauses translation methods,and detailed discusses four translation methods: Front-loading method,Fusion method,Back-loading method,Conversion translation method.Finally,the translator summarizes the translation experiences as well as the problems to be solved.
