A Report On Interpreting At The 2016 Seminar On Building Free Trade Zone For Countries In Belt And Road Areas

This is an interpreting practice report,which mainly describes the author's interpreting task at the 2016 Seminar on Building Free Trade Zone for Countries in Belt and Road Areas in July,2017.The interpreting task is conducted through Chinese to English and English to Chinese.During the training courses,Q and A sessions and observation tours,the author offers interpreting services for foreign officials.Some typical cases in the interpreting practice are chosen as the samples for analysis in this report.Four parts are included in this report.The first part is a brief introduction to the interpreting task,regarding the background,nature and requirements from the client.Preparations,performances and evaluations are referred to in the second part.The third part is the main one of the report,consisting of the problems and relevant solutions under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory,and the unsolved problems in the practice.The last part is the author's retrospection and prospect for the future.
