The Thirty Seven Practices for the Disciples of Lord Buddha is a classic book wrotten by a Tibetan famous scholar named Thokme Zangpo who lived in the middle of the 14th centry.The main theory of this book includes the three bodhicitta ways of enlightenment for Buddhahood,which includes all the processes of the Buddhist practices.This scripture consists 37 poetic stanzas and all the stanzas describe the methods for achieving Buddhahood more quickly by praticing the traditional theories of sutra and tantric path.In this paper,I used the theories of Buddhism,comparative literature,anthropology,history,education,contemporary literary,historical materialism and dialectical materialism as a tool to clarify the significants of this subject combining with the research methods of field work theories.And studied it's impact on the Tibetan literature and people's value of aspects for art and education in the past.The aims of this scripture are related the basic practices of Buddhism include observance of moral precepts,renunciation of craving and attachment,the practice of meditation,the cultivation of wisdom,loving-kindness and compassion.Therefore,it will play an important role in the development of society in nowdays,and could effect value of people in the future.Thus,it could teach people how to live in a peaceful coexistence and harmonious society under the pressure of globalzation.Therefore,this paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter respectively introduced the author of The Thirty Seven Practices for the Disciples of Lord Buddha,and described life stories and achievements in Tibetan literature and religoius life.On the other hand,it also deeply observed the historical background and social environment at that time.At the end,it also analysised the reasons why he wrote this article and where did he finished this wo rk.The second chapter analyzed the concepts of mind,interpretation of the word,categories,characteristics,function,development history,etc.The third chapter analyzed verses of text,and trying to explore the three methods of bodhicitta to achieve the each level of the three state of men.And discussed the classic thought characteristics and purposes of bodhicitta methods.The fourth chapter analyzed the structure and basic framework of this text and discussed the characteristics of genre,poetry and artistic features.The fifth chapter respectively discusses the significance and value of this text in the view of different aspects such as literature,education and religion.In addtion,the author of this classic work shared his personal experiences of practing the bodhicitta way to Buddhahood.And criticized the atmosphere of social problems in the buddhist point of view but he cleverly combined contradictions of religion and society together to achieve the enlightenment.This text is a guide to both of Buddhist practioners and lay people,could benefit all the living being to achieve the bodhicitta,wisdom,liberation,and enlightenment of Buddhahood.In order to get to the peace and harmony,we should create a harmonious equal society to every one.In order to get equality,we all should strive for justice.This is key for the peace and stability of the society.The purpose of law is to create an equal society and bring justice all the members of the sociey.The mian idea of this text is based on an aspect of the karma theory and a person accumulates merit by helping and doing good things to other living beings.Further,a person can get a a good karma by helping others.Therefore,as we can see here the purpose of law controls people's bahavior and karma prevents peoples' mind to break the law.Through analysis and study this subject,we can understand this buddhist theory plays an important role in the value of people's mind and bring peace to our society.As a result,we need to keep the good traditional values and preserve the best parts of our tradition.
