Life is a kind of understanding of the individual life value and it is also as a goal to help individual look for sense of existence and worth.The meaning of life is the feeling of individual experience in the process of the search for meaning and the sense of identity and values,it is an assessment of the meaning of life in this study.The sense of life meaning can positively predict individual psychological health level and has an important influence on junior high school students' physical and mental health,social adaptability as well as outlook of life,outlook of world,outlook of values.By discussing the current situation of junior high school students' sense of life meaning and influencing factors this study aims to formulate effective measures to improve the level of junior high school students' life meaning feeling and enrich theory research of sense of life meaning in China.With reference to previous studies,this study explores and analyzes the relationship between social support and sense of life meaning and the function mechanism of self-esteem between them.By the measurement tool of understanding social support rating scale,self-esteem scale and life purpose scale,this study inquiries 590 junior high school students as research subjects,the data analysis results are as follows:First,China' s overall status of sense of life meaning in the junior high school students' is above average level.Second,there is significant positive correlation between social support and self-esteem,social support and sense of life meaning,self-esteem and sense of life meaning;Social support has positive prediction function to self-esteem,social support has positive forecast effect to sense of lifemeaning,self-esteem positively predict sense of life meaning;Self-esteem plays a partial intermediary role in social support and sense of life meaning.A conclusion is from the above results that efforts of schools,families and society contribute to the improvement of junior high school students' sense of life meaning.
