Left-behind children have always been a topic of close concern to society.Many studies have found that left-behind children are more prone to psychological and behavioral problems.Left-behind students in the junior high school are in a critical period of psychological and physical development,and their mental health problems need to be fully valued.Therefore,the study explores the inner relationship between life events and internalization problems of junior high school students by analyzing the role of social support in life events and internalization issues.Selecting the “Adolescent Life Event Scale”,“Perceived Social Support Scale”,“Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale” and “Spence Child Anxiety Scale” for 301 left-behind junior high school students and 215 Non-left-behind junior high school students in Hunan and Guizhou provinces junior high school students were surveyed and used SPSS22.0 and AMOS23.0 for data statistics and analysis.The results are as follows:(1)The frequency of life events of left-behind junior high school students is higher than that of non-left-behind junior high school students.The main life events are interpersonal stress and learning pressure.There are differences in the life events of left-behind junior high school students in the only child,grade,family economic situation,and frequency of contact with parents.(2)The ability of left-behind junior high school students to perceived social support is lower than that of non-left-behind junior high school students.The main perceived of support comes from other support.Left-behind junior high school students have differences in class cadres and only children.(3)Left-behind junior high school students have more obvious internalization problems than non-left-behind junior high school students.The degree of depression and anxiety is higher than that of non-left-behind junior high school students.The depression of left-behind junior high school students differs in the only child,family economic situation,and mother's education.The anxiety of left-behind junior high school students is different in gender,one-child,family economics,and mother'seducation.(4)Life events,perceived social support and internalization issues are significantly related.Life events are negatively correlated with perceived social support.Perceived social support is negatively correlated with internalization issues,and life events are positively related to internalization issues.(5)Life events can positively predict internalization problems,and perceived social support can negatively predict internalization problems.(6)The mediation effect model of life events,perceived social support and internalization problems is well fitted,and perceived social support plays a partial intermediary role in life events and internalization problems.
