The Application Of Public Art In City Temporarily Idle Space Research

Urban temporary idle space is an inevitable social problem in the process of urban development,which is a waste of public resources,is not conducive to the cultural atmosphere of the city,hides insecurity factors,etc.In recent years,Public Art has got more and more attention in the development of our country,and the pattern concept of Public Art is different from City Planning,Landscape Design,Architectural Design and other Design majors.It is also different from other Fine Arts' artists thinking.Public Art is the public art of public space made by artists' hands,so it is suitable for the reuse of temporary idle space in the city.This article researches the application of the public art in the city temporary idle space mainly through literature research,field investigation,case study and deductive method.First,this paper analyzes the present situation of the temporary idle space in our country and the problems of Public Art,and refers to good foreign Public Art works and the city space called "Pop-Up";secondly,according to China's temporary idle space causes classified,this paper summarizes Expression Technique of different type of public space;finally,combined with the Temporary idle space located on the south side of Tongde Street in High-tech Zone in Chengdu,this paper discusses the practice of "Urban Cloud"public art project,according to the information from the preliminary investigation and analysis,this paper presents the five elements:form,format,ecology,psychology and temperament which showed by Public Art in the target public art project,so as to provide a solution to use the temporary idle space city.
