A Practice Report On Simulated English-Chinese Simultaneous Interpreting-A Case Analysis Of The Dialogue In "the Belt And Road China-sweden Business Forum"

In this simulation practice report of English-Chinese simultaneous interpretation(SI),the materials selected from the expert dialogue of the first "The Belt and Road China-Sweden Cooperation" Forum.Taking this as foundation,the author restores the specific process of SI,transcribes the video materials into text,and carries on the analysis and summary of the text.The "One Belt and One Road" strategy is a top national strategy that involves China's foreign relations in all aspects,which has profound and far-reaching significance as well.Therefore,it is of great importance to interpret the relevant information accurately into English.And SI,as a highly efficient and frequently utilized method of translation,is very geared to the international interview dialogues.This thesis is mainly divided into four parts: The first two parts introduce the relevant circumstances of SI and review the practical process of it while the third and fourth parts apply Gile's Effort Model as well as Schema Theory to analyze and solve the problems involved during the practice of SI simulation.The author believes that SI not only deepens the understanding and awareness of interpreters,but also provides certain reference value for the future research work in related fields.
