According to the Adaptation Theory,in the process of language use, language should be constantly selected.Interpreting,as a special communicative activity,is also a process of language selection.Fuzzy language is closely related to Adaptation Theory. The study of fuzzy language interpreting can be better understood from the perspective of Adaptation Theory.Fuzzy language has been a formal research topic in the field of linguistics since the concept of “fuzzy set”was put forward by American cybernetic expert Zadeh. However, most scholars were devoted to the study of theory, there is still a lot of room for research in the field of combining theory with practice. In order to enrich the application of fuzzy language in practice, this paper selected the international news political program New Horizon: China's Diplomacy 2010 as the corpus, and based on the Adaptation Theory, carry out a Chinese-English simulated consecutive interpreting practice.Through this interpreting practice, the author sums up and puts forward the problems of fuzzy language in the simulation of Chinese-English consecutive translation: the barriers of fuzzy words, the barriers of fuzzy implication and the barriers of fuzzy restrictive language; As well as the corresponding problem solving strategies: explicit strategy, literal strategy, interpretation strategy, supplementary strategy and omission and simplification strategy. This paper combines theory with practice to propose the problems of fuzzy language found in practice, and at the same time, analyzes and classifies the interpreting strategies of fuzzy language, hoping that the research results of this paper can also give some help to other interpreters.
