Since China's reform and opening up,along with the economic and social development of it,China's professional sports are booming and increasingly flourishing.But the supporting laws,rules and regulations are far from perfect.While in Europe and America,especially in the U.S.A,the professional sports are much more standard and legitimate,which has brought many suggestions for the standard development of professional sports in China.Considering this,it has certain significance to render Sports Justice: The Law and the Business of Sports into Chinese.The source text of this translation report is an excerpt from Professor Roger I.Abrams' book Sports Justice: The Law and the Business of Sports.According to Peter Newmark's text typology theory,combined with source-text analysis,it is obvious to notice that the source text belongs to informative text,which emphasizes the effective convey of the source text to target readers.Based on Newmark's communicative translation,the author analyzes and translates the representative typical cases of the source text so as to make the translation conform to the reading habits of target language readers.Through this translation,the author intends to let more people understand Americans' pursuit of justice as well as their typical cases in professional sports and promote the sound and standardized development of Chinese sports and sports industries.Meanwhile,through the conclusion and analysis of the experience and disadvantages in translation practice,the author hopes to provide certain reference and guidance for those who are interested in translating and studying these kinds of texts.
