Transformation Of Readers' Acceptance On Foreign Literary Classics In Douban

For a long time,the reception theory of comparative literature has always focused on scholars and writers,but the ordinary reader reception of foreign literary classics has been in a blank state.With the rise of the online reading platforms,the modes of creation,spread and appreciation of literature have been changed.As for literary reception,there is a new platform to accept,which impacts severely on the subject and utterance of literary reception.At the same time,the voices of ordinary readers are no longer mysterious.They left their footprints in the new platform.Douban is a main online platform for Chinese readers to accept foreign literature,and it provides a relatively serious and equal space for the ordinary readers.The reception of foreign classical works on this platform presents a different state from the traditional ones.The space which is outside the system builds a platform to communicate and review for ordinary readers.And because of the openness of network,a large number of original and fresh data,which come from the ordinary readers also exhaustively presented in front of us.That's provides a great convenience for our study.This paper is based on the analysis of the data on Douban to examine the condition of Chinese ordinary reader reception on foreign literary classics.This paper is consisted of the following three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.In the introduction,there are a series of questions were put forward based on the observation of online reader reception on foreign literary classics,and they are the basis of the research.Then it introduces the rise of network culture's influence on literature and explains the research significance,the innovation and the methods.The text is divided into three chapters.The first chapter mainly reviews the condition of online literature,takes Douban as the main object and introduces its main functions.The second chapter will show an analysis of the collected data,which is the condition of reader reception on foreign literary classics,and list the attention on writers andtheir works,the number of comments and the scores.Next it will list some hot topics and book reviews of ordinary readers by discussing.Finally it will sort out the investigations of the characteristics about readers' identity.The third chapter is the analysis of the data collected in the front chapter,and it will discuss the deep-seated reasons of transformation of reader reception and the significance it brings.At last,there is an expectation on the literature public reading in the future.
