Countrymen's Association was a new countrymen organization based on the same area during the Republic of China.After the War of Anti-Japanese breaking out,The National Government decided to move the capital from Nanjing to Chongqing,and then Chongqing became the temporary capital.At the same time,millions of people from the Enemy-occupied Areas came to the Rear Area,including Chongqing.In order to protect the interest of these countrymen and strengthen the contact between countrymen,the Countrymen's Association in Chongqing which comes from different areas carried out a series of relieving activities,charitable cause,etc.Zhejiang Countrymen's Association in Chongqing had an outstanding performance.This thesis takes the Zhejiang Countrymen's Association in Chongqing as the research object during the Anti-Japanese War to explore its great influence on the Anti-Japanese War.Making an analysis on the general situation of the establishment,organization system etc,to explore the new characteristics of the Zhejiang Countrymen's Association.From reliving fellow refugee,rescuing home disaster etc,probing into the function of helping Zhejiang countrymen.In order to meet the wartime needs,how did the Zhejiang Countrymen's Association take new activities,making a conclusion on the function of the Zhejiang Countrymen's Association during the Anti-Japanese War.Archives of Countrymen's Association in Chongqing are the basis of this thesis.First of all,through analyzing the general situation of Zhejiang Countrymen's Association in Chongqing during the Anti-Japanese War,mainly including the establishment,organization system,personnel,financial system etc,pointing out its progress as a modern community and its characteristic members mainly were social elites.Through making a discuss about activities,such as relieving charity,contacting countrymen,providing service,pointing out that Zhejiang countrymen continued to do these traditional activities.Finally,indicating that the Zhejiang Countrymen's Association developed new function with the development of society during the Anti-Japanese War,through analyzing these activities,including caring about the soldiers,helping the wounded soldier etc.Based on analyzing function of the Zhejiang Countrymen's Association in Chongqing,Zhejiang Countrymen's Association played an important role during the Anti-Japanese War.Since the National Government decided to move the capital from Nanjing to Chongqing,Zhejiang Countrymen's Association made full use of its unique social resources,which provided great convenience and security for Zhejiang countrymen.During the Anti-Japanese War,Zhejiang Countrymen's Association not only inherited and developed its traditional function of helping countrymen,in order to meet the needs of the wartime and countrymen,but also expanded new relief function during wartimes to support the Anti-Japanese War,these function made a significant contribution to the Anti-Japanese War directly or indirectly.
