carries the Great Chinese civilization and culture.Literary image of Bian River came from life but moves beyond life.Bian River itself was a water channel and was used for irrigation and transportation purpose.There is no doubt that her entry is affecting and changing people's life.The need for literature is to show the real life.Thus,the river that had a great impact on people's life and social development-Bian River naturally enters literature.Bian River witnessed the rise and down of the Tang and Song empires,also appeared in lots of the literary works,derived out “Love capital”,parting,Acacia,record travel and other literary themes which have a lot of literary values.Initially,Bian River,as the center part of The Grand Canal,become its behalf,was built for emperor Yang's self-interest only,and it caused a lot of hard labor and money when building it,caused many controversies;many said building the canal caused many grievances,was one of the reasons that led to fall of the Sui dynasty.Bian River once became a scholar of irony criticized the obsession of Sui Emperor chanting object during early Tang dynasty.Water can carry a boat,but can also overflow a boat.Bian River overflowed the boat of Sui dynasty but carried the boat of Tang and Song dynasty to their prosperity.As the time moves on,people of Tang dynasty gradually noticed the significant officials sending out of the capital.In addition,Bian River is mostly related to capital,government transportation,and life;many famous scholars like Wang AnShi expressed their own view around in Bian River navigation and sediment control in their works of literature,and giving plans to emperors that will bring good to the people,showed strong nationalism of the North Song scholars.JingKang incident caused Song dynasty migrant to the Southern area,Capital DongJing faded out from history,Bian River gradually becomingthe “abandoned child” in the era of war and conflict,slowly forgotten by people.However,Bian River became a symbolic figure for the capital of the North Song dynasty Kaifeng,becoming an image of the prosperous old dynasty to miss in nationalist scholars like Wen Tianxiang;these works of literature contained the feeling of taking back central China,regain the honor of the North Song dynasty.Until day,Bian river is still a symbolic image of the North Song pursuit,emotions,and spirit of literature of ancient Chinese.In the literature about Bian River,contains the emotions of scholars,pursuing aperfect life and society,that can live peacefully with the environment around,passing the life and culture on generation by generation,and spread all around the world.
