This paper takes a Hungarian student who doesn't speak English as an example,based on the intermediating language theory and the second language acquisition theory,using the case study methodology,and through the classroom observation and video back watching to record his performance during the Chinese studying.After that,analyzing the difficulties and the solutions which students who lack of medium language may encounter.Then summarize the teaching process,and put forward some teaching suggestions for this kind of students.This paper records the performance of the subject investigated in the first,the sixth,and the eighth Chinese class.After analyzing the results,we can conclude that the people who lack of medium language always feel unsure,and can't handle the grammar explained by medium language very well.At the same time,teachers can effectively alleviate and solve these problems by reducing medium language;using a variety of ways to explain grammar points,etc.I think,teachers can improve themselves from classroom language;teaching methods;teaching materials and other aspects,In this way,we can have a definite object view when we face such students,or even the multilingual students.Furthermore,the Confucius Institute and the Hanban should pay close attention to this issue and make great efforts to help the Chinese language teaching to flourish.
