As the rapid development of the research on Chinese teaching,a great amount of valuable theses have sprung up.Experts,according to their teaching practices,have come up with many teaching methods,strongly stimulating the Chinese teaching work.The paper,taking junior three students from Shanghai International Studies University as objects,taking the Chinese course of reading and writing as an example,draws a conclusion that situation teaching method is appropriate for the Chinese course of reading and writing.According to our survey,the current situation of Chinese course of reading and writing is not satisfying enough.In junior students' mind,Chinese is very difficult,especially the reading and writing parts.Besides,teaching methods are utilized improperly,which remains a serious problem,badly decreasing students' enthusiasm toward the Chinese course of reading and writing.The paper starts with the definition and classification of situation teaching method,in order to express the content of situation teaching method to the readers.In order to ensure the authenticity,the conclusions are drawn based on the results of the surveys and interviews among students and teachers.By integrating,comparing and analyzing the results,we have found that the situation teaching method enjoys more advantages compared with other teaching methods when used in the Chinese course of reading and writing.Situation teaching method can add delights to courses,stimulate the interests of students and increases the efficiency of teaching.While it has some shortcomings as well.The creation of situation is a bit hard,posing a challenge for teachers.And if the process of situation creation is too long,the time of practicing will be shortened greatly,thus having a harmful impact on students.To make full use of advantages and overcome the shortcomings of it,the paper summarizes some cases in which situation teaching method can be applied and had better be adopted.Furthermore,a complete teaching design is put forward,which is expected to offer some help in the process of utilization of situation teaching method.
