After more than sixties years of evolution and development,though teaching Chinese as a second language has already has its own system of theory and teaching method,there are still many deficiencies.For instance,we usually cultivate students,written skills by teaching reading and writing separately and neglect their close relationship.The consequence is unbalanced development of reading and writing skills and it will influence the formation of comprehensive abilities of students.This paper is based on the theories of reading and writing.After analyzing the relationship between reading and writing,we put forward a teaching method and design a practical and effective teaching method according to teaching practice.Through the teaching practice we found that putting reading and writing together has a better effect on students' study.It can reduce the students' resistance to Chinese learning,improve their motivation in learning Chinese,help them to better grasp the content of courses and make them gradually acquire the comprehensive ability of Chinese,it can also help to make more space for students to study independently.
